Know more about this product

This comprehensive security system delivers professional-grade surveillance featuring six 8MP turret cameras equipped with AcuSense technology and Live Guard deterrence capabilities. The kit includes a 8- or 16-channel Ultra Series Network Video Recorder designed for high-performance recording and remote access. This kit ships without a hard drive (HDD sold separately). For reliable 24/7 recording and smooth playback, add a surveillance-grade HDD such as WD Purple or Seagate SkyHawk, sized to how many days of footage you want to keep.

Powered by DarkFighter technology, the cameras provide exceptional low-light imaging and clear visibility against strong backlight conditions.
Active defence features include strobe light and audio alarms to deter intruders, while two-way audio enables real-time communication.
The system supports human and vehicle classification to reduce false alarms, ensuring you receive accurate alerts.
Weather-resistant construction with an IP67 rating guarantees reliable outdoor performance in all Australian conditions.

Ideal Use Cases

Turnkey home or small-business CCTV starter: The HIKVISION HK-R6 bundles recorder and cameras for Australian sites that want a matched brand kit rather than loose SKUs.

Rental and strata camera packages: Kits keep camera and NVR features aligned for simpler programming and support.

Retail shopfront coverage: Use kit cameras on entry, counter, and stock areas; confirm PoE budget and HDD size for retention.

Upgrade from mixed old gear: Replacing a whole kit avoids half-working smart events between mismatched brands.

Buyer Tips

Read the BOM before quoting. Count cameras and NVR channels, and budget for the HDD: kits ship without a hard drive.
Plan cable and PoE early. Long runs and outdoor glands are usually extra to the kit box.
Set retention targets. Kits ship without a hard drive: add a WD Purple or Seagate SkyHawk surveillance HDD sized for your retention target.
Keep one brand firmware train. Update kit NVR and cameras together after commissioning.

FAQs

1. What is included in the kit?

See the product description BOM on this page for cameras, NVR, and accessories. The HDD is sold separately (add a WD Purple or SkyHawk drive); monitors are not included unless listed.

2. Are cameras and NVR the same brand?

This Virtus kit is sold as a matched package under HIKVISION. That is preferred for full feature support.

3. Can I add extra cameras later?

Only up to the NVR channel/PoE limits. Check spare channels before promising expansion.

4. Is professional install required?

Competent DIY is possible on simple homes; commercial and high-mount jobs should use a licensed installer.
