Overview

The HIKVISION DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL is an 8MP (4K, 3840 × 2160) AcuSense fixed turret network camera with active deterrence. It uses a 1/1.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor with F1.6 lens, smart IR up to 30 m and 120 dB WDR.

When an AcuSense rule detects a person or vehicle, the camera can trigger its strobe light (visual alarm) and an audible warning from the built-in 1.2 W speaker (95 dB at 10 cm), as well as alert the NVR or Hik-Connect app. A built-in microphone and speaker allow two-way audio, and the -S interfaces add 1 alarm input/output plus audio line in/out. The housing is metal (trim ring excepted), rated IP67, and powered by 802.3af PoE (max. 10 W) or 12 VDC.

Buyer Tips

Confirm the lens on the variant you add to cart. 2.8 mm gives about 111° horizontal view. 4 mm gives about 87° for longer paths.
Think about neighbours before enabling the siren. In strata and close suburban lots, schedule the audible warning and keep it to human-only rules to avoid nuisance complaints.
Recording audio is regulated by state law. Enable the microphone only where recording is permitted, and use signage.
Allow 10 W per camera in your PoE budget. Strobe and speaker use raise power draw compared with -IU models.
Use a current AcuSense NVR. Deterrence linkage and target-filtered search are configured on the camera and NVR. Keep firmware up to date.
