Overview

HIKVISION's DS-2CD2T66G2H-2I-4MM packs DarkFighter and AcuSense into a 6MP bullet IP camera. Imaging comes from a 1/2.4" progressive CMOS behind an F1.0 aperture, down to 0.001 lux in colour. It is offered with a choice of fixed lens: 2.8 mm (114.8° horizontal) or 4 mm (94° horizontal). At night it uses IR up to 60 m.

Deep-learning perimeter rules (line crossing, intrusion, region entry/exit) classify people and vehicles, so leaves, rain and animals trigger far fewer false alarms. It is IP67 rated, powered by PoE (802.3af), with on-board microSD backup.

Ideal use cases

Driveways and front entries: 6MP detail for visitors, parcels and vehicles.

Side passages and backyards: Perimeter rules alert on people, not pets or moving foliage.

Shopfronts and small businesses: Clear identification at counters, doors and loading areas.

Strata and multi-dwelling sites: Hik-Connect sharing lets residents or managers view footage without extra software.

Warehouses and loading docks: Event-filtered alerts on people and vehicles around roller doors after hours.

Buyer tips

  1. Pick the right lens. 2.8 mm gives the widest view for yards and rooms; 4 mm narrows the view for more detail on gates, doors and driveways further away.
  2. Mount height. 2.5–3.5 m gives good identification while keeping the camera out of easy reach.
  3. Plan for lighting. Add a ColorVu or hybrid-light camera where colour at night matters.
  4. Check NVR compatibility. Smart search and AcuSense filtering need a compatible Hikvision NVR and current firmware.
  5. Budget storage. Higher resolution needs more HDD space; size the NVR drive for your retention period.
