Overview

HIKVISION's DS-2CD2387G3P-LIS2UY/SL packs ColorVu, AcuSense and Smart Hybrid Light into an 8MP (4K) panoramic turret IP camera. Imaging comes from a 1/2.5" progressive CMOS behind an F1.0 aperture, down to 0.0005 lux in colour. It ships with a 2.8 mm lens, 182.6° horizontal view. At night it uses Smart Hybrid Light (IR and white LEDs) reaching 30 m.

Deep-learning perimeter rules (line crossing, intrusion, region entry/exit) classify people and vehicles, so leaves, rain and animals trigger far fewer false alarms. ColorVu keeps the image in colour after dark, which makes clothing and vehicle colours usable as evidence. Smart hybrid light runs in low-key IR by default and brightens to white light once a human or vehicle target is confirmed. A built-in strobe and audible warning can be triggered by detection events to deter intruders before they act. Audio: built-in microphone and speaker for talk-back. It is IP67 rated, powered by PoE (802.3at), with on-board microSD backup.

Ideal Use Cases

Wide yards, car parks and frontages: One 180° panoramic view (182.6° horizontal) from a single mounting point covers what would otherwise need two or three fixed cameras.

Driveways and front entries: 8MP detail in colour at night for visitors, parcels and vehicles.

Side passages and backyards: Perimeter rules alert on people, not pets or moving foliage.

Shopfronts and small businesses: Visible deterrence plus event-filtered alerts after hours.

Sites needing audio evidence: Built-in mic captures sound where recording audio is lawful.

Strata and multi-dwelling sites: Hik-Connect sharing lets residents or managers view footage without extra software.

Buyer Tips

Pick the right lens. The 2.8 mm lens, 182.6° horizontal view suits wide areas; choose a narrower lens for faces or plates at distance.
Mount height. 2.5–3.5 m gives good identification while keeping the camera out of easy reach.
Audio law. Enable the microphone only where audio recording is lawful in your state.
Check NVR compatibility. Smart search and AcuSense filtering need a compatible Hikvision NVR and current firmware.
Budget storage. Higher resolution needs more HDD space; size the NVR drive for your retention period.
