Ideal Use Cases

Residential alarm expansions and replacements: The BOSCH BOSRFRC-STR2 fits Australian homes using BOSCH alarm ecosystems — confirm panel compatibility before ordering.

Small commercial perimeter and entry protection: Use detectors, keypads, and modules that match the panel series already on site.

Service and upgrade jobs: Technicians stock compatible expanders, PIRs, and keypads to keep programming and wiring consistent with the existing panel.

Spare and warranty swaps: Match the exact module code so zone types and addressing stay correct.

Buyer Tips

Confirm series compatibility first. BOSCH Solution / Pro / wireless lines are not always interchangeable.
Match zone type and wiring. EOL resistors and zone programming must match the panel manual.
Test walk/coverage after mount. PIRs need correct height and clear view; avoid heaters and direct sun where possible.
Document the panel program. Note zone labels and user codes after service so the next visit is faster.

FAQs

1. Which panel is this compatible with?

Use only with panels/series listed for BOSCH BOSRFRC-STR2. Mixing unrelated alarm brands usually fails programming and support.

2. Is this a detector, keypad, module, or kit?

This product type is Alarm Accessories. Read the title carefully so you do not order a module when you need a PIR or keypad.

3. Does it include batteries or a PSU?

Only if stated on this page. Many alarm devices need panel power or a separate backup battery sized for the site.

4. Do I need a licensed installer in Australia?

Alarm installation and monitoring rules vary by state and contract. Use a qualified installer when required for monitored systems.
