TandemVu is designed for large sites, not typical residential installations. Its main advantage is maintaining a panoramic overview while independently zooming and tracking with the PTZ channel.
The PTZ channel provides 42× optical zoom with a 6–252 mm focal range, making it suitable for investigating subjects at considerable distances without relying primarily on digital enlargement.
Night coverage differs between the two channels: the PTZ provides IR up to 300 m, while the panoramic channel provides white supplemental light up to 30 m.
Check power infrastructure before installation. This camera requires 36 VDC or IEEE 802.3bt PoE, so it should not be assumed to work from a standard low-power PoE port.
Plan the mounting structure carefully because the camera weighs approximately 10.5 kg and measures about 453 mm high. Hikvision lists dedicated wall and pendant mounting accessories for this model.
