Use the telephoto end when identification at greater distance matters. Hikvision's DORI identification figure increases from approximately 8m at the wide setting to 21m at the telephoto setting, making the camera more flexible than a conventional fixed 2.8mm turret.
Do not confuse DarkFighter with ColorVu. Powered-by-DarkFighter improves low-light performance down to 0.003 Lux in colour, but in darkness the camera uses infrared illumination and can switch to monochrome video rather than maintaining white-light-assisted full-colour footage.
AcuSense becomes most useful when smart perimeter events are configured. Human and vehicle classification works with line crossing, intrusion, region entrance and region exit rules, helping focus notifications on relevant targets instead of general movement in the scene.
