Powered-by-DarkFighter improves colour performance in low ambient light, but the camera uses infrared illumination in darkness and can switch to black-and-white footage. It is not designed to provide white-light-assisted full-colour imaging throughout the night.

Match the lens to the identification distance you need. Hikvision's DORI identification figures are approximately 6m for 2.8mm, 8m for 4mm and 12m for 6mm, so a wider lens is not always the best choice when identifying more distant subjects is the priority.
