The HK-P8 uses eight DS-2CD2387G2H-LISU/SL 8MP cameras, combining ColorVu, Smart Hybrid Light, human and vehicle classification, two-way audio and LiveGuard active deterrence in each turret.

Smart Hybrid Light offers IR, white light and smart illumination modes. In Smart Mode, the camera can use discreet infrared illumination when no target is present and activate white light when a person or vehicle is detected to capture additional colour detail.

Each camera includes a built-in microphone and speaker together with a strobe light and audible warning, making this kit suitable for buyers who want active response capabilities as well as surveillance recording.

The cameras use a large F1.0 aperture and provide up to 30 metres of IR and white supplemental illumination, while 130 dB WDR helps retain detail around entrances and other areas with strong differences between bright and dark sections.

With eight supplied cameras, the DS-7608NI-M2/8P uses all eight available camera channels. Select the DS-7616NI-M2/16P if you want capacity to add up to eight more compatible IP cameras later.

Does the HK-P8 record full-colour video at night?
The cameras support ColorVu together with Smart Hybrid Light. Three supplemental lighting modes are available: IR, white light and Smart Mode. White Light Mode can maintain colour imaging at night, while Smart Mode normally uses IR and activates white light when a human or vehicle target is detected to capture colour detail during the event.

Does each camera support two-way audio and active deterrence?
Yes. The DS-2CD2387G2H-LISU/SL includes a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way communication, together with a strobe light and audible alarm that can be configured as an active deterrence response to supported security events.
